A new Sega Genesis game titled ZPF, created by Mega Cat Studios, is presently being backed on Kickstarter. The game, categorized as a horizontal shooter or shmup, finds its roots in classic shooters such as Thunder Force and Steel Empire.
Spearheaded by Perry “Gryzor” Sessions and Mikael Tillander, the development team guarantees six stages, three playable characters, mid and end stage bosses, a power-up shop, and concealed secrets in the final version. Despite the recent announcement on Kickstarter, ZPF has swiftly surpassed its funding target, with supporters eagerly looking forward to the game’s launch in February 2025.
