Randomizers have gained popularity in recent years as a fun aspect of modding and hacking in video games. They enhance the gameplay experience by introducing random elements such as mixing abilities, enemies, or stages, resulting in a fresh playthrough each time. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Wii received its first randomizer in 2020, which shuffled Link’s gear while maintaining gameplay logic, much to the delight of fans. Following the release of Skyward Sword HD on the Nintendo Switch in 2021, a revamped version of the game, fans now have even more to look forward to with the announcement of a randomizer for the high-definition remaster. Gymnast86, a renowned Zelda speedrunner and randomizer developer, has partnered with CovensMe, Ninou, TBPixel, and YourAverageLink to develop the Skyward Sword HD randomizer, set to launch on June 7th after ten months of development.
