Yuzo Koshiro shared an update video for the upcoming Mega Drive shooting game Earthion, showcasing new features like a 3D effect on ship launching, new music, and stages. The video gives a glimpse of the game’s progress, including a fresh track revealed. Koshiro mentioned that the music in the video is not the final soundtrack, as he is experimenting with new styles using the MAmidiMEmo music creation application. Earthion is planned to be released on modern consoles, including Nintendo Switch, PS4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, with a potential PC version in the works. A physical cartridge for the Mega Drive/Genesis release is confirmed, and the game is expected to be available by the end of 2024 in regions where MD/Genesis games were previously released. The specific hardware version for release has not been determined yet.
Just like I mentioned yesterday, we're excited to drop a new Earthion video here. You'll spot a lot of new stuff and scenes we've added in. Plus, there's a fresh track unveiled. And absolutely, everything you see and hear is straight from an actual Megadrive. pic.twitter.com/tMIA15U849
