A new tool called Artic Base has been developed to allow users to broadcast their legitimate 3DS games from their 3DS system to their PC and play them through emulation.
This tool, which requires a hacked 3DS running Luma3DS, enables users to play their digital or physical games on an emulator such as Citra without the need to dump them. By using the Artic Base Server, 3DS users can forward filesystem requests from the emulator to the console, providing advantages like increased resolution, the use of wireless controllers, and the ability to synchronize save data for on-the-go gaming.
While this approach may lack the 3D effect and have longer load times compared to real hardware, it offers a way to revive faulty 3DS consoles and utilize existing game collections in a new way. However, a strong and constant wireless connection between the 3DS and computer is necessary for optimal performance.
