Suntory has launched a new campaign in Japan in collaboration with Nintendo‘s Super Mario franchise. The campaign includes two sweepstakes that offer exclusive Mario-themed items as rewards. Prizes range from bottle charms featuring Mario’s mustache to Mystery Box-like wheeled coolers. The first sweepstake involves the social media platform X, popular in Japan, where participants must have a non-protected X account and post a tweet with a specific hashtag that translates to “I want to become Mario” by May 13, 2024, to win Mario’s hat and a bottle charm modeled after Mario’s mustache.
The second sweepstake requires purchasing specific Suntory drink bottles in Japanese stores, such as the 300~680ml PET bottles. Buying four bottles at once makes participants eligible to receive a set of six zip bags, and also allows them to enter a sweepstake for a wheeled cooler with a Mystery Box design and a Super Mushroom-shaped ice pack. This sweepstake will reward 1,000 lucky winners, who must make their purchases by May 30, 2024, and submit the receipts as proof by May 31, 2024.
Suntory‘s collaboration sweepstakes with Super Mario are open in Japan until May 2024. The winners will be notified by the company and prizes will be sent out in June 2024.
