Unofficial Prince of Persia Port for Commodore Plus/4

Jordan Mechner‘s iconic action-adventure platformer, Prince of Persia, has been unofficially adapted for the Commodore Plus/4. Originally launched by Broderbund for the Apple II computer in 1989, Prince of Persia evolved into a successful franchise, spawning sequels, spin-offs, and even a feature film.

Despite its previous ports to different platforms, the Commodore Plus/4 was excluded due to its discontinuation in 1985. Earlier attempts at porting, like a fan-made demo in 2007, had limited scope. However, a new collaborative effort by Csabo, TCFS, and Unreal has resulted in an impressive port that enables players to play through the entire game with enhanced graphics. This fresh rendition boasts a more extensive color range, marking a remarkable achievement for the Commodore system. Those intrigued can download the port and experience the game firsthand.
