Apple Arcade has added two classic Square Enix RPGs, Final Fantasy+ and Trials of Mana+, as part of its latest wave of games to kick off 2025. These titles are enhanced “plus” versions, meaning they are free of ads, in-app purchases, or other monetization, offering a premium experience for Apple Arcade subscribers.
Final Fantasy+ is a remastered version of the original Final Fantasy, featuring updated 2D pixel graphics, modernized UI, and quality-of-life improvements like auto-battle options. The game also supports gamepad controls for those who prefer a more traditional gaming experience. Players can embark on the classic journey of the Warriors of Light as they seek to restore power to the four elemental Crystals and save the world from darkness.
Trials of Mana+ is a mobile port of the beloved action RPG, delivering console-quality gameplay on Apple devices. The game features an interwoven story that changes based on which of the six main characters players choose to begin their adventure with. It retains its rich narrative about the Goddess of Mana and her battle against the Benevodons while offering optimized controls for mobile platforms.
These additions are part of a broader lineup that includes other games like Skate City: New York, Rodeo Stampede+, and Gears & Goo. Apple Arcade continues to expand its catalog with high-quality titles, making it an appealing service for fans of classic and modern gaming alike.
