A fan port of the 1989 arcade game Crime City is being developed for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. Originally created by Taito for the B-system, Crime City allows two players to assume the roles of police officers Tony Gibson and Raymond Broady as they fight against gang leaderships.
The project is led by Master Linkuei, known for an unofficial sequel to Kenseiden, with collaborator @RDiggoSilva adapting the arcade’s soundtrack for the 16-bit system. A 10-second preview has been released, featuring Gibson navigating obstacles and defeating enemies with various methods. Updates on the project’s development and release will follow.
