Snow Bros. was an arcade platformer originally released by Toaplan in 1990.
While the original Snow Bros. game was popular, receiving ports to several home formats, most recently a mobile port in 2012, the Snow Bros. of Nick & Tom never quite reached the heights of popularity that other platforming brothers such as Mario & Luigi and Bub & Bob reached, so there hasn’t been a new Snow Bros. game since its sequel, Snow Bros. 2, in 1994, until today, that is.
We previously reported that a new Snow Bros. game was coming this year, and today (November 28 2024), some 30 years after the Snow Bros. last brought their chilly platforming fun to gamers, the Snow Bros. are back at long last, with Snow Bros. Wonderland! The new game has been developed by Tatsujin, who now own the rights to the games of the now defunct Toaplan, and is published by Clear River Games, a small Sweden-based publisher who are passionate about retro games (sounds good to us!).
Snow Bros. Wonderland is an isometric 3D reinvention of the series, and it launches today on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5. Sadly, it seems that Xbox gamers are being left on in the cold for this one. You can find out more about the Snow Bros. and their all-new game at Clear River Games’ website.
