SEGA’s Strong Financial Performance in Q4

Sega Sammy Holdings, the parent company of the Japanese publisher, reported remarkable financial outcomes for the quarter ending June 30.

 

In comparison to the previous year, the company’s sales surged by 34%, totaling 72.733 billion yen (approximately 494,4 million USD). Ordinary profit soared by 181.5% year-on-year, reaching a remarkable 15.702 billion yen (around 106,7 million USD).

 

Game sales also showed strong performance, with new titles experiencing a 56% increase and older titles rising by 31.8%. SEGA specifically noted the success of Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance, which sold 500,000 units within just three days. Both Unicorn Overload and Persona 5 Royal also performed admirably.

 

Rovio, known for Angry Birds, which was acquired by SEGA in 2023, contributed 8.7 billion yen in sales (59,1 million USD).
