SC.I.O.N. digital sale screen

S.C.I.ON. is a new top-down shooter for the ever-popular 8-bit ZX Spectrum home computer, and we’ve been following the game’s progress closely here on Retro News, from reporting on its announcement to reviewing the game (very favorably!)

S.C.I.O.N. was developed by ZX Spectrum developer Tom Potter, A.K.A Sausageware Games, and it was published by retro publisher Bitmap Soft, who describe S.C.I.O.N. as follows: “Your mission as an agent of S.C.I.O.N. will be to penetrate the base and locate the reactor that powers their operations. Once inside, find a way to overload the reactor core then escape to safety before the base goes into meltdown.” Sounds fun, right? And it is! At this price, there’s no excuse of any ZX Spectrum owner to not give S.C.I.ON. a shot. We think you’ll have a blast!

Until now, the only way to get a digital copy of S.C.I.O.N. for your Speccy emulator or Retro Games Ltd.’s The Spectrum machine was to buy a cassette copy, but now there’s a bargaintastic way to purchase a digital copy of S.C.I.ON. for a  mere £1.99 GBP. Simply follow this link to treat yourself to a digital copy of S.CI.ON.’s Speccy shooty goodness.

If you’d prefer a cassette copy, there are still limited quantities available from Bitmap Soft for £12 GBP (56 copies remaining at the time of writing).
