RHDO Transfers Ownership, Rebrands to RomHack Plaza

The ROM hack site formerly known as RHDO has undergone a significant change in ownership and branding, now rebranded as RomHack Plaza. This change was initiated by the former owner, Spike, who decided to step down and transfer ownership to Benjamin. The rebranding aims to give the platform a fresh start and new direction.

Key Details:

  • Ownership Transfer: Spike, the previous owner, decided to leave the site and hand over control to Benjamin. This transition is intended to rejuvenate the platform and ensure its continued relevance in the ROM hacking community.
  • Rebranding: The site has been rebranded from RHDO to RomHack Plaza, marking a new chapter for the platform. This change is not just cosmetic but also reflects a shift in the site’s mission and community engagement.
  • Community Focus: RomHack Plaza aims to be a platform free of gatekeepers and excessive moderation, fostering a more open and collaborative environment for ROM hacking enthusiasts.
  • Future Plans: Under Benjamin’s leadership, the site plans to continue evolving, with updates to the logo and site layout already underway. The goal is to create a vibrant community hub for hacks, fan translations, and homebrew games.

This rebranding comes at a time when the ROM hacking community is seeking new platforms following the closure of ROMHacking.net, providing an alternative space for enthusiasts to share and collaborate on projects.
