Retro publisher EastAsiaSoft has announced its latest retro-styled adventure called Dagger Froggy, which is due for release on 6th April 2025 for Switch, Xbox and PlayStation. The Vampire Saviour-inspired survival title was originally released on Steam in December 2024 and now finds itself hopping to consoles priced at $4.99.

Players take the role of a plucky pixel art amphibian as they fend off waves of creatures looking to make them their prey. From grassy lawn and spooky cemetery to the desert and more, players have to clear baddies from a variety of stages while collecting coins from enemies slain to purchase permanent upgrades for the frog.

In Dagger Froggy, players strategically choose from a variety of buffs and spend coins to unlock up to 15 frogs with unique gear and armaments. Increase movement speed, max out weapon power and take advantage of other enhancements. As players earn permanent upgrades, additional challenging stages become available. Other features include fending off waves of enemies in top-down pixel art arenas, shopping for permanent upgrades in between stages, replaying cleared levels at any time to improve skills and unlocking new playable characters and themed stages!
