He Is Coming is a new turn-based strategy adventure that has been announced by publisher Hooded Horse. A new trailer shows gamers exactly what to expect in this early 80s-inspired strategy game. Everything from the limited colour pixel art to the turn-based gameplay and menu interfaces, He Is Coming looks set to reignite those magic days of early adventure titles. There is also news that a demo to try the game before its release later in the year is available on Steam.

The game has blended many old gameplay mechanics with modern ideas to create a fresh spin on the turn-based genre. In a press release, Hooded Horse said gamers will be “setting out with nothing more than a pointy stick and a death wish, you won’t have long to prepare before trouble arrives – every three days, you’ll need to face off against one of 30 powerful boss monsters on the hunt for unsuspecting heroes.” He Is Coming will be participating in Steam Next Fest’s February 2025 edition. Featuring this updated demo with more content and an async multiplayer mode.
