Retro Game Zine Seeks Funds

Retro Game Zine

Retro Game Zine, a new publication devoted to retro gaming is seeking funds on Kickstarter. What makes this magazine different from the other retro games magazines out there is that each issue will focus ion a single title, covering the game’s history, with a personal essay, screenshots and more.

Each issue is planned to be a 5.5″x8.5″, 26 page zine printed on 80lb recycled paper in full color, with a 100lb soft-touch laminated cover stock.

The proposed first issue of Retro Game Zine plans to cover It Came from the Desert, the classic Cinemaware action adventure game that was first released in 1989 on the Commodore Amiga, so if you’re interested in learning more about It Came from the Desert, why not back Retro Game Zine on Kickstarter?

The second issue of Retro Game Zine is also being planned, and that one will cover the 1992 Sega Genesis title Chakan: the Forever Man.

The Kickstarter campaign for the first two  issues of Retro Game Zine will run until November 11 2024 2:00 AM UTC, and at the time of writing the campaign has already smashed its target of £347, with the current total standing at £1,126.
