One of our favourite budget retro publishers Ratalaika Games has announced two new titles, one is already out with the other out this week. The first is SUGORO Quest: The Quest of Dice Heroes which was originally a Japanese exclusive but is now getting a worldwide release. It’s a board game-style turn-based RPG where dice will decide the fate of players. It will be released to Xbox and PlayStation on 7th February 2025.
The story begins in the kingdom of Siland, where four adventurers set out to talk to the king in search of intrepid adventures. Each adventure is different and will enable players to choose the most suitable member for each journey. Each playthrough allows for four heroes who will explore six different lands. There are also screen filter settings to give a more retro feel and a cheat menu for those wanting an easier experience.
The second title from Ratalaika Games is Squab, an exciting precision platform adventure that puts players in control of a young pigeon full of energy but unable to fly. Using the dash as his main means of locomotion, players embark on a challenging journey to rescue his missing father, Maximus. Players will overcome a variety of challenges while navigating vibrant and dangerous environments. It features 60 levels with numerous challenges and is available on Switch, Xbox and PlayStation now.
