Pokémon Legends: Z-A is bringing back a major feature that hasn’t been seen in mainline Pokémon games since Pokémon Emerald on the Game Boy Advance in 2004 — 60 frames per second (FPS) gameplay. This marks a significant technical upgrade for the series, as most Pokémon games since then have operated at 30 FPS.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be the first main series Pokémon game entirely playable at 60 FPS since Pokémon Emerald.

The only other main series games at 60 FPS are the rest of the Gen 3 games and the Gen 5 games (in-battle only).

While Generation 5 games (Pokémon Black/White and Black/White 2) did feature 60 FPS battle sequences, this was limited to just those portions of the game. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is being advertised with 60 FPS throughout the entire game experience.
