Nintendo Might Fire 150 People from Mario Club Co. Division

Mario Club Co. serves as Nintendo’s Japanese subsidiary responsible for game quality control and bug-fixing for the brand’s exclusive titles.

According to the Leakpress website, the company plans to lay off approximately 150 of the division’s 400 employees across all roles. It appears that Nintendo aims to address issues related to employees who “cause trouble” and create difficulties for their colleagues.

It’s important to note that this does not constitute outright dismissal, as Japanese labor laws are stringent on this matter. Typically, Japanese companies prefer to reassign such employees in a way that encourages them to resign.

Nintendo has not yet commented on this situation.
