Nintendo has unveiled the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, an interactive alarm clock aimed at bringing a whimsical Nintendo flair to your daily routine. Priced at $99.99, this device is slated for release in early 2025, with early access currently available for Nintendo Switch Online members in the U.S. and Canada via the My Nintendo Store.
Key Features of the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo
Game-Inspired Alarms: Featuring 35 alarm variations drawn from five beloved Nintendo titles—Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure—users can wake up to sounds that resonate with their favorite games, with additional alarms promised in future updates at no extra cost.
Motion Sensor Technology: The Alarmo is equipped with a motion sensor that registers your movements. If it detects that you’re still in bed, it will gradually increase the alarm volume. Upon sensing you getting up, it will play cheerful tunes to celebrate your awakening.
Sleep Monitoring: This device has the capability to track your sleep patterns and maintain a daily log that can be viewed on its display, adding a health-conscious dimension to its functionality.
Interactive Display: The 2.8-inch digital display showcases the time and various animations inspired by Nintendo games, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the alarm clock.
Modes and Customization: Users can choose between ‘Steady Mode’, which gradually escalates the alarm sound, and ‘Gentle Mode’, which offers a consistent volume. A ‘Button Mode’ is also available for a traditional alarm clock experience.
Exclusive Access: While early access is restricted to Nintendo Switch Online members in North America, the device will also be available at the Nintendo New York store without requiring an online subscription.
The Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo exemplifies Nintendo’s distinctive approach to infusing its cherished game franchises into everyday products, providing fans with a delightful and interactive way to start their day with familiar sounds from their favorite games.
