We previously reported that Blaze Entertainment would be releasing the Evercade cartridges Indie Heroes 4 and The Broken Sword Collection this February.
However, Blaze have now announced that the release date for both cartridges has slipped, and they will now be released on March 10, 2025. However, pre-orders for both cartridges will still open on January 30, as originally planned.
No reason has been given for the delay in releasing the cartridges, though we have noticed that Blaze seem to finding it difficult to keep their new Evercade releases in stock for long as of late, perhaps victims of their own success, which on one hand is a nice problem to have, but it can also be frustrating for Evercade owners who are hoping to pick up the latest releases for their machine.
In happier Evercade news, Funstock have frozen the prices on all in-stock Evercade cartridges, meaning you can avoid the recently announced price increases, which are set to take effect from January 30, so for a limited time, at Funstock, Evercade cartridges will remain available at the previous price of 17.99 GBP rather than the forthcoming new price of 19.99 GBP.
The reason given by Blaze Entertainment for the recent Evercade cartridge price rise was “secure more stock and improve availability throughout 2025 and beyond, ensuring a better experience for Evercade fans.” If that’s the case, hopefully the delays affecting Indie Heroes 4 and The Broken Sword Collection will soon be a thing of the past.
