A new ZX Spectrum game has been teased by Sausageware Games, whose second new ZX Spectrum game, S.C.I.O.N. we recently reviewed rather favorably. Dungeon Decks will be the third new ZX Spectrum game to be released from the mind of of ZX Spectrum develop Sausageware Games (A.K.A. Tom Potter), following on from his take on Knightmare and the aforementioned top-down shooter S.C.I.O.N.
Dungeon Decks has been described by Sausageware Games as “a dungeon-crawler deck-builder”. Deck building games are somewhat In vogue at the moment, with the likes of Slay the Spire and Balatro being huge hits. So it’ll be interesting to see an 8-bit retro spin on the genre on the humble ZX Spectrum. To follow Dungeon Decks’ progress, and to learn about any future new ZX Spectrum games from Sausageware Games why not follow Sausageware Games on X?
And don’t forget that Sausageware Games’s previous two new ZX Spectrum games are still available to buy from Bitmap Soft.
While Dungeon Decks is still very much a work in progress, it’s looking impressive so far, and we hope to bring you a full review of the game here on Retro News once the game has been finished, and we’ve had the chance to build our deck and crawl its dungeons for ourselves.
