Dotemu and Leikir Studio have revealed a new gameplay trailer for the strategy RPG, Metal Slug Tactics. The trailer showcases the game’s fresh take on Metal Slug combat. You can try out a demo on PC via Steam starting today at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET as part of Steam Next Fest: June 2024 Edition running from June 10 to 17. Metal Slug Tactics is scheduled for release this fall on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
The Metal Slug Tactics demo offers a unique combat experience with familiar warriors in challenging battles in the game’s first region. Players will strategize their team composition based on unique abilities, upgrade characters, and purchase gear at the squad’s headquarters. Success in battles requires smart navigation, outsmarting enemies, and using strategic advantages. Unlocking the powerful character Tarma is vital for epic boss fights in the full game. The game combines classic pixel art with modern animation, featuring replayable levels with hand-crafted terrains and roguelite elements. Players can use iconic Metal Slug weapons, skill trees, perks, and powerful super attacks to defeat enemies. The game also features an original soundtrack by Tee Lopes and is developed by Leikir Studio with support from Dotemu and SNK, offering a fresh take on the beloved Metal Slug series.
