New GBA platformer Discrete Orange out in July

discrete orange

We love a good Game Boy indie release, and this one is very sweet. Discrete Orange is a new puzzle platformer from publisher Incube8 Games that has been developed by Tardigrade! The freshly squeezed title was ranked in second place at the GBA Jam 2024 and is set to be released in July 2025. Those who like to try before they buy can check out the demo that is currently available for download from Incube8 Games’ website. The demo will run on an emulator or as a ROM for SD card carts.

In Discrete Orange the action unfolds in a discrete, turn-based world, where all movement is non-continuous. Answering the call for adventure and their love of sweets, a cute little orange embarks on a mission to refill its chocolate stash, scattered across 20 puzzle-filled levels. In this world, enemies and platforms only move when the orange moves, turning each step into a strategic and fun challenge.
