Developer Critical Games has announced a free DLC pack for its acclaimed JRPG 8-Bit Adventures 2. The game was released on consoles and Steam in 2024 and received great reviews from gamers and critics alike. The new DLC adds lots of extra features and content to extend the game even further. It’s set post-game and adds 50 new rooms as well as new equipment and items to enjoy.

Players can now hunt powerful super bosses through a huge, open dungeon, in order to save the life of a beloved party member and uncover the mysteries of the Sandman – a decaying wizard with ancient ties to the villainous Glitch. Players have requested more challenging encounters, so this new content delivers the hardest, and most creative, battles in the game

There is also still time to pre-order the physical edition of the game from Limited Run Games. The physical edition features brand-new artwork by famed comic book artist Ryan Jampole and an 8-page manual, fans can order the game for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. Pre-orders are available for $34.99, but only until January 26th.
