Taylor’s Tater Terror is a new Amiga being developed by FutureVision Retro Publishing. The game is dedicated to Taylor Calk who tragically passed away from an unknown blood clotting disorder on 30th January 2023. The game was conceived as a way to honor Taylor, who passed away in February 2023. Jack Calk, driven by his love for his son and their shared passion for gaming, initiated this project to keep Taylor’s memory alive. The project is seeking funding to complete the classic platformer.

The story has a real retro feel as Taylor Calk is tinkering with his Amiga when he suddenly spills beer on it. As if from nowhere, the Amiga comes “to life dazzling display of colorful pixels and retro sound effects.” From there, Taylor is sucked into a digital world with boss fights and enemies to defeat. 

A statement on the crowdfunding page says Taylor’s “untimely departure left a profound impact on those who knew him, as well as on the wider community. This game is dedicated to honoring his legacy and the incredible work he contributed to the Global Amiga Community, where he inspired many with his passion and dedication. We remember him not just for his achievements, but also for the kindness and positivity he brought to everyone around him.”
