New 3D Shoot ’Em Up Asura The Striker Pays Homage to Arcade Classics from the ’80s and ’90s

Asura The Striker, an arcade-style 3D shoot ’em up developed by LeftOver, is set to launch on PC via Steam, April 24, 2025, priced at $14.99. The game will feature a 10% discount during launch week, along with a digital soundtrack offering.

Players will take control of ASURA, a humanoid combat weapon created to eliminate an alien invasion from space. The gameplay combines high-speed shooting action with powerful melee attacks and time-bending slow motion mechanics. Core combat features include the Energy Shot for rapid-fire ranged attacks, the Shining Knuckle for devastating charged punches, and the Lightning Over Drive system that allows players to slow down time for precision maneuvers.

The game serves as a heartfelt homage to arcade classics from the ’80s and ’90s, featuring multiple stage paths for enhanced replayability. Originally announced in 2023, the title experienced delays before settling on its current release date. The development team has positioned Asura The Striker as a fast-paced retro-inspired experience, where players will face swarms of alien invaders and terrifying boss battles across various environments.
