We recently shared a story about a new Santa game heading to the Switch and now we have news of another Santa game, this time on the NES. Christmas Crisis 2 is a platform game developed by German Garage Games and is the follow-up to its 2023 game Christmas Crisis. The game is fully finished, and funding is now sought to make the original ROM into physical NES cartridges. The crowdfunding campaign has begun on Kickstarter and has already hit its target.
There are three options to pre-order starting with a simple digital ROM to use on emulators or flash carts. The standard physical option includes a box, manual and the all-important cartridge in a traditional NES sleeve. Those wanting something special to put under their Christmas Tree can opt for the exclusive Kickstarter option. It has a limited edition numbered box featuring different artwork, a special green cart, a Santa USB containing the ROM and some extra stocking fillers to make it a truly special edition.
The two-man developer team, consisting of a father and son from Germany, have promised to get the carts out in December 2024. This may make the perfect Christmas gift for any NES fan and will bring some retro festive cheer during the holidays.
