A modder named ZenoArrows has successfully ported the cult classic game The Simpsons: Hit and Run to the PS Vita and Nintendo Switch using the game’s source code. However, users need to have the legitimate PC version’s source code for installation.
The port features local multiplayer but is incomplete, leading to certain glitches and missing visual effects compared to the PC version. It runs well on the PS Vita, showing better asset quality than previous PS2 ports. An official remaster seems unlikely due to the complicated ownership of its rights, entangled between multiple corporations, including Disney and Microsoft.
