The creativity of modding enthusiasts never fails to impress, whether it’s with software or hardware tweaks.
A modder by the handle YveltalGriffin recently unveiled his new endeavor on social media platforms. He has successfully converted his PlayStation console into a portable gaming device.
Dubbed the PS Hanami, this device is assembled using original PlayStation parts, and now includes a 7-inch display and an integrated battery that offers approximately 2.5 hours of playtime. Lacking the space for a CD drive, YveltalGriffin opted to use the Xstation device, enabling games to be played from an SD card instead.
Nonetheless, the PS Hanami does have certain drawbacks, such as no volume control and missing an analog stick.
This is the PS Hanami, my handmade Playstation 1 portable that I designed and built in one month! It uses a REAL PS1 motherboard that I cut in half, folded like a book, and rewired. NO emulation! Details in?https://t.co/WF8F8KgAiw pic.twitter.com/yajk4sB0o3
