Mayhem Brawler II is a new scrolling beat ‘em-up seeking funds to bring the game to PlayStation and Switch as well as continue the development on Steam. The new crowdfunding campaign is being held on Kickstarter and seeks funds to not only fund the development but also to help get the game released physically to PlayStation and Switch.
Developer Hero Concept, who also produced the first game in the series, has teamed up with retro publishing specialist Numskull Games and the crowdfunding has already doubled its goal. The initial goal set was around £12,000 but keen brawler gamers have helped it reach over £24,000 with 27 more days of funding to go. There are many different options to select for those interested in pre-ordering Mayhem Brawler II. Everything from straight digital codes to full physical collectors editions. Those wanting the full experience can drop some extra cash to be part of the game as a bystander or NPC.
The actual game is a traditional scrolling beat ‘em-up with added RPG elements to add depth and longevity. It has various options including multiplayer modes both online and local, a unique time travel mechanic that switches up each level and hand-drawn artwork.
