Cronela’s Mansion is a new point-and-click game from developer Straynus that takes inspiration from the classic adventure games from Sierra and LucasArts. The game has been in development for over four years and is getting ready to launch a crowdfunding campaign in February 2025 to enable a physical release. The release will include cardboard boxes, cartridges, manuals and collectable figures.
The team plans to bring Cronela’s Mansion to various retro platforms including NES, SNES, GB and GBA. There are also plans to port it over to Switch and PC with these having new features that will expand on the gameplay of the retro console versions. Each version has been built from the ground up with different graphics, music and animations to match the systems limitations.
In a press statement, Straynus has said. “With a long development of more than four years, Cronela’s Mansion will surprise you with the care of its graphics, the charisma of its characters, witty and fun dialogues, with a disturbing story that will not leave anyone indifferent.” You can follow the development of Cronela’s Mansion on the developer’s X (Twitter) account and sign up to the Kickstarter to be alerted when the campaign goes live.
