Leak Suggests Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha Games May Be Getting a Remaster

A recent leak has revealed that two forgotten PlayStation 2 exclusives, Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army and its sequel Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon, are potentially making a return. These games, part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise, were originally released between 2006 and 2008 and have remained exclusive to the PS2, although they were later made available on the PS3 as emulated versions. The leak emerged from a SteamDB update for Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster, where changes to achievement names suggested a remaster of the Raidou Kuzunoha games might be in the works.

The potential re-release of these titles has sparked excitement among fans, as these games have been largely forgotten over the years. The leak coincides with Atlus and Sega teasing several unannounced games to be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show later this month, adding to the speculation that the Raidou Kuzunoha games might be part of this announcement. Despite the excitement, neither Atlus nor Sega have officially commented on the leak, leaving fans to eagerly anticipate any official confirmation.

This development is part of a broader trend of reviving classic games for modern platforms, as seen with other PlayStation 2 titles being remastered or re-released for newer consoles. The popularity of the PS2, the best-selling console of all time, and the enduring appeal of its games continue to drive interest in bringing these classics back to life for a new generation of gamers.
