Justice Ninja Casey: 1994 SNES Game Heads West for First Time

Justice Ninja Casey

We previously reported that Sunsoft and Ratalaika Games were bringing two classic SNES titles to the West for the first time, and one of them, now called Justice Ninja Casey, is just a few days from release!

Justice Ninja Casey was originally released by Sunsoft in Japan, back 1994, under the title Shounen Ninja Sasuke’, and although an English version titled ‘Boy Ninja Sasuke’ was planned, it was never released, and the game remained unreleased in English for some 31 years. Until now, that is. Shounen Ninja Sasuke will finally receive a release in English on February 28th 2025, under the new title of ‘Justice Ninja Casey’.

Ratalaika Games describe Justice Ninja Casey as follows: “An unremarkable princess in an unremarkable castle has been kidnapped by a group of mysterious ninjas. Luckily for her, a young ninja named Casey is aware of the situation and embarks on a mission to save her because… he is the Ninja of Justice! Join Casey and learn the art of ninjutsu as he explores a land full of secrets and dangerous enemies!”

Ratalaika list the game’s features as: “Available in English for the first time, 2 game modes: Quest Mode that includes light RPG elements such as branching stages, a level-up system, equipment and secondary quests, or an Action Mode that focuses on classic brawler action, lLocal co-op 2-player mode, rewind/Turbo function: repeat something until you achieve perfection, or speed things up, save state function: save wherever you want to in the game, screen filters, a gallery with images from the original game’s manual and box design, optional cheats, and a jukebox that allows you to listen to the 30 music tracks included in the game whenever you like.”

Justice Ninja Casey is an adventure platformer, and will be released on Xbox, PlayStation 4&5 and Nintendo Switch.
