Yatsuna Games are a French homebrew publisher who are dedicated to publishing new games for old consoles. At least, they are until next month! Over on X (Twitter), Yatsuna Games have announced that they will be closing on December 31 2024, when they will cease to exist, and will close their shop, meaning that their games will no longer be available to purchase.
The developer behind Yatsuna Games hs been developing games for retro consoles for over 20 years, releasing them via several publishers as well as directly via itch.io, before establishing Yatsuna Games as a publisher for his and other developers’ retro games in July 2021.
Since launching, Yatsuna Games have published games for Nintendo Game Boy, Atari Lynx and Atari Jaguar, so if you fancy a new game for any of those consoles, you have until December 31 to order one from Yatsuna Games.
It’s always sad to see a games publisher close, so Retro News would like to thank Yatsuna Games for supporting retro consoles with their new releases for the last three years, and we’d also like to wish them the best of luck in their future retro gaming endeavors, should they have any.
