Hashire Hebereke: EX Delayed to Spring 2026, Alpha Gameplay Stream Set for April 3

Hashire Hebereke

Gravity Game Arise and developer SUNSOFT have officially delayed Hashire Hebereke: EX from its previously planned 2025 release window to spring 2026. The game will be available for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam when it launches.

Despite the delay, SUNSOFT plans to showcase the game’s development progress soon. They will live stream gameplay from the alpha version on April 3, 2025 (tomorrow) from 20:00 to 21:00 JST. This stream will include a demonstration of the four-player local multiplayer feature and will be available to watch on YouTube.

Hashire Hebereke: EX
is a modern remake of the 1994 Super Famicom racing action game Hashire Hebereke. The game features comical and cute characters, including the series protagonist Hebe, competing in extreme races across unique stages. While preserving elements from the original, the remake will introduce several new features:

  • A new Time Attack mode

  • New playable characters

  • Additional stages

  • Four-person online multiplayer support

This remake is particularly significant as it represents part of SUNSOFT’s ongoing efforts to revive its classic franchises for modern audiences. The original Hashire Hebereke was a Japan-exclusive release, making this remake the first opportunity for global players to experience this particular entry in the Hebereke series.

The development is being handled by CRT Games, with Gravity Game Arise serving as the global publisher.
