Gamer Transforms SEGA Dreamcast VMU into a Portable Handheld Console

A gamer has turned a SEGA Dreamcast Visual Memory Unit (VMU) into a handheld game console. This creative project was done by Tito from Macho Nacho Productions. The upgrade makes the VMU work on its own as a portable gaming device.

The updated VMU features a Raspberry Pi Zero W as its core processor, significantly enhancing its gaming capabilities. It now includes a 128×128 pixel LCD display for improved visuals, an 850mAh battery and charger for portability, and a speaker to enhance sound quality. These upgrades enable the VMU to function as a standalone console, capable of playing a wider array of games than it originally could.
