Dungeons & Ducklings is a new indie game that draws heavy inspiration from a handful of retro classics, primarily Pac-Man, but also Gauntlet, and the recent “neo-retro” title Vampire Survivors.
In the game, in every run you collect coins Pac-Man-style, and each coin charges your equipped weapon allowing you to attack, breaking walls and killing enemies. After every run, you can spend the coins you collected in the dungeon.
Dungeons & Ducklings is a roguelite that has been described in Steam reviews as follows: “Start with a lot of Pac-Man, add in a bit of Gauntlet, and just a hint of Vampire Survivors, and you have Dungeons and Ducklings.” “The gameplay is like Pac-Man if you added extra enemies, more attacks, bullet hell, upgrades, and a story.” “This game is a wonderful combination of Pac-Man and Vampire Survivors to create an addictive roguelite game”.
Dungeons & Ducklings currently has 100% positive reviews on Steam, where the game is currently available for PC, with Linux and Macintosh versions due to follow soon. In addition to being able to buy the full game on Steam, you can also download a free demo of the game to try it out before buying.
