Double Dragon Revive Dated, Pre-Orders Open

Double Dragon Revive

We love a good beat ‘em up here at Retro News, so we’ve previously covered Double Dragon Revive, reporting on the physical edition from Microids, and on previous Double Dragon dev Ebinuma’s negative reaction to the game. Well, we’re still looking forward to Double Dragon Revive, despite Ebinuma’s misgivings, but it seems that we’ll have a while to wait before we can get our hands on it!

Previously, all we knew about the game’s release window is that it would be sometime in 2025, but it has now been confirmed that Double Dragon Revive will hit the streets on October 23 2025, when it will brawl its way onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, with pre-orders for the Standard and Deluxe digital editions now open, what’s more, in addition to securing the Standard or Deluxe edition of the game, players who pre-order will also receive the exclusive bonus game Double Dragon Dodge Ball.

The Double Dragon series first began back in 1987 with the launch of the original arcade game by Technos. The forthcoming Double Dragon Revive is far from the first attempt to “revive” the series for the 21st-century, with others including 2012’s Double Dragon Neon, 2017’s retro-style Double Dragon IV, and last year’s roguelite Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons.
