A sewing machine inspired by the Game Boy Color? Indeed, such a device exists and is known as the Singer IZEK 1500. This unique sewing machine was packaged with the handheld console, featuring a built-in Link Cable and a selection of Game Boy Color cartridges designed for creating sewing patterns on garments, including designs like the Mario family.
Five software titles were specifically developed for this machine: “Raku x Raku Mishin,” “Sewing Machine Operating Software,” “Raku x Raku Moji,” “Raku x Raku Cut Shuu,” and “Jaguar Mishin Sashi Senyou Soft: Mario Family.” Notably, all artwork in these titles showcases characters from the Mario franchise, including Princess Peach, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Yoshi, among others. Interestingly, Bowser does not feature in any of these designs, possibly indicating a lack of interest in sewing.
These machines can often be found on eBay, with prices ranging from $300 (without a Game Boy) to over $900 for those in nearly new condition.
