The ceremony, which aims to celebrate everything great about indie games, will be held at Nottingham’s Metronome in the UK. Tickets for the event are available now with attendees encouraged to submit nominees and get voting.

This year’s categories include:

  • Debug Game of the Year – Celebrating the most influential indie title of 2024
  • Retro World Award – Honoring games that pay homage to classic aesthetics and gameplay
  • Best UK Game – Recognizing emerging talent making waves in the UK games industry
  • Subscribers Choice – A community-chosen award that lets fans have a voice in the ceremony

The awards are part of a wider celebration of indie games which includes a showcase exhibition for indie devs large and small to present their games to attendees. Industry talks, hands-on game experiences and plenty of community activities will be taking place throughout the day.

“This year’s Indie Game Awards will be our biggest and best yet, celebrating the spirit of indie gaming in every way,” said Daniel Crocker, Creative Director at Debug Magazine. “We’re excited to offer a full day of talks, showcases, and, of course, the awards ceremony to honour the games and developers that are pushing creative boundaries.”
