There has been a significant increase in fake PlayStation 1 discs being sold on AliExpress, a well-known online marketplace. This is worrying for retro gaming collectors and fans because these fake discs are priced much lower than real ones, making them tempting for buyers who might not know they are not authentic.

These counterfeits are already in the stream and this has the potential of completely upsetting the secondary market. If you're buying PS1 titles, be cautious of anything that you see as it very well could be a 1:1 duplicate.
