OFF is a 2008 RPG that has a large cult following. Developer Mortis Ghost along with publisher Fangamer have confirmed the critically acclaimed title is now heading to Steam and Switch. It’s due for release in 2025 and there was also news of a special edition Switch physical release. 

The game itself will be given a makeover with an all-new battle system being added as well as additional balancing of the overall gameplay. The OFF physical edition will include a Batter bobblehead doll, a comic book, art card pack along with the actual game and manual. It will be presented in a giftbox-style case.

Ryan Alyea of Fangamer speaking on the new release said. “Fangamer has published physical editions of indie games for a while now, but OFF is the first time we’ve moved into the development side for Steam and Nintendo Switch. ​Lots of us here love the game, moving a game that began as a freeware RPG Maker 2003 title to modern platforms wasn’t easy, but it felt like a perfect project for us. ​It’s very rewarding to be able to help build something that’s exciting for old fans and accessible to players who might not have found OFF otherwise.”
