Classic Arcade Games NARC, Smash TV, And Mortal Kombat Coming To Analogue Pocket

Three classic Midway/Williams arcade games are set to be released for the Analogue Pocket, a high-end handheld retro gaming system. These games include:

  • NARC: Scheduled for release on September 7, 2024, NARC is a run-and-gun game known for its intense action and digitized visuals. Originally released in 1988, it became infamous for its violent gameplay.

  • Smash TV: Expected to be available on September 21, 2024, Smash TV is a top-down shooter where players battle waves of enemies for cash and prizes. Released in 1990, it is celebrated as one of the best twin-stick shooters of its time.

  • Mortal Kombat: Planned for release on October 8, 2024, this iconic fighting game, first released in 1992, features digitized sprites and gory finishing moves. It became a significant rival to Capcom’s Street Fighter and was central to the console wars of the 1990s.

These games will be released as beta cores for the Analogue Pocket, meaning they may not be fully polished at launch, but they represent a significant addition to the handheld’s library. The Analogue Pocket uses FPGA technology to replicate the original hardware of classic gaming systems, providing an authentic gaming experience.
