An online concert titled The Music of Mother will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Earthbound in June.

The event will feature three parts, starting with Mother Remix, a performance of songs from Mother and Earthbound by legendary Nintendo composer Hirokazu Tanaka. This will be followed by a Japanese-only conversation between Tanaka and Mother series composer Keiichi Suzuki. The final part, The Music of Mother, will be led by Suzuki and his band, the Tonzura Mother Band.

International viewers can purchase a streaming ticket for ¥3,000 ($19) to watch the concert, which will include live music and a round table discussion with the musicians and Mother series creator Shigesato Itoi. Earthbound titles are available on Nintendo Switch Online, but the third game in the trilogy, Mother 3, remains a Japan-only release.
