Jim Ryan is stepping down from his role at Sony with the PlayStation 5 performing exceptionally well in sales. In one of his final interviews as CEO, he made a surprising revelation that the PlayStation 2 has reached 160 million units sold in its lifetime, surpassing the earlier official count of 155 million reported by Sony as of March 2012. It’s worth noting that the PS2 continued to be sold until late 2013.
