Thrill Penguin is a new retro-styled platformer from developer Sylph and publisher Ratalaika Games. The precision platformer will be released to Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation on 18th April 2025, priced at $4.99. The game is a real throwback to the classic platformer era and has been designed with old school difficulty in mind. The trailer shows many different areas as well as manoeuvres that our penguin hero can perform. The package is rounded out with some beautiful pixel art and a classic chiptune soundtrack that will no doubt get retro gamers interested.
In Thrill Penguin, players take control of an ambitious penguin who brandishes a stylish bandana and aspires to be a parkour master. Players will run, jump, dive, and swim through six unique, challenging-level zones to demonstrate their esteemed parkour prowess. They can also choose from multiple difficulty settings, including easy, normal, and hardcore modes. At the end of each area, a menacing boss awaits, which means Thrill Penguin is a return to old-fashioned platforming fun without complications or pretense.
