Piko Interactive Release Statement on Trump Tariffs

Piko

Piko Interactive are holders of a number of retro gaming-related IPs, including the soon to be launched Bleem.net service, on which we previously reported.

Perhaps surprisingly, Piko Interactive have taken to X to issue a statement in the light of the so-called” Trump tariffs” that are being imposed on goods that are imported into the USA.

Piko Interactive say that following the recent opening of their European offices, they are able to lower prices “across a wide range of products,” stating that the opening of their European office alongside their existing US office allows them to offer products to customers without what they refer to as “the burden of additional costs.” They go on to say that “this means that, despite the shifting global trade landscape” they state that they are “committed to absorbing any tariff-related expense, and “passing on the savings directly to you”.

Even though we know that the Trump Tariffs have delayed Switch 2 pre-orders in the USA, We really didn’t expect them to have any impact on our little retro gaming world! Kudos to Piko Interactive for showing that video games companies can, indeed, be on the side of the consumer sometimes! Quite a refreshing change, we’re sure you’ll agree.

In addition to launching Bleem.net, Piko Interactive have also licensed several of their IPs for Evercade cartridges in recent years. Piko Interactive also own the Physical Mania brand, which sells new games for old (and new) consoles, and related merch.
