In November last year, we brought you the news that Beyond the Ice Palace II had been hit with a delay and would now be released on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC in March. Well, the game is almost upon us, and retro publisher PixelHeart has confirmed it will be producing limited physical copies of Beyond the Ice Palace II.

Pre-orders already live with physical editions available for PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Switch. Each one will have a certificate to confirm it’s one of only 2,000 made for each console, as well as a download code for the game’s soundtrack as a bonus. There was also further news that each physical game sent out will include a ‘golden ticket’ that may or may not contain a special surprise that will be announced later.

The game itself is a sequel to the 1988 side-scrolling action platformer that was due to be released in 2024. The delay allowed for additional polish and improvements to ensure a high-quality experience upon release.
