Bubble Ghost Remake is an upcoming release that we’ve been keeping a close eye on here at Retro News, previously reporting on the launch of its demo, and the announcement of its physical editions for Nintendo Switch.
However, all we knew about bubble Ghost Remake’s release window was that it would be “early 2025”. Until now, that is, as the game’s publishers SelectaPlay and developers Nakama Game Studio have used their powers of Bubble Necromancy to confirm that Bubble Ghost Remake will bubble up from beyond the grave onto Nintendo Switch and PC on March 27th.
Bubble Ghost was originally released for the 16-bit Atari ST home computer in 1987, with a Nintendo Game Boy port following in 1990. With the new Bubble Ghost Remake, the game will bubble up from the dead, having been completely remade from the ground up, but with reverence to the original, and with several updates to bring this challenging platformer into the 21st century. Features in Bubble Ghost Remake will include fully revamped graphics and sounds, 40 challenging levels filled with clever puzzles and platforms to traverse in the Story Mode, in-game achievements, collectibles, a global leaderboard, new Challenge and Speedrun Modes, and a Hall of Fame where the very best players around the world will find their names.
You can also wishhlist Bubble Ghost Remake on Steam right now, and don’t forget that you can already give the game a try with the free demo on Steam and Nintendo Switch.
