Retro Game Boy publisher Incube8 Games has announced a new title from developer Rebusmind. The game titled, Hidden Gems, is already available as a digital ROM to use on emulators or SD card cart readers although a physical edition has not been announced yet. Incube8 Games has worked with Rebusmind previously with the physical release of the platform adventure title Dango Dash for the GBC.

Hidden Gems has been developed for the original Game Boy and Game Boy Color. In the game, players fuse gem cards and place them on a 4×4 board to achieve the highest score. With just three basic card types, the game offers endless possibilities through clever fusions and tactical placement. Incube8 Games has said “Hidden Gems is suitable for casual gamers or seasoned strategists,” and that it’s “easy to learn but hard to master.”

It features dynamic battles against AI opponents through five difficulty levels and the experience can be customised by enabling or disabling specific cards and fusion mechanics. There is also an in-depth tutorial designed to get you up to speed quickly. And due to the endless strategic possibilities, Hidden Gems offers lots of replay value.
